A long-term and well-executed green home retrofits programme has much to offer as an economic stimulus, and continued support for all housing tenures will be critical to pump-prime the market to get on track to meet climate targets.
The UK Government rightly identified this last year, making large commitments to decarbonise public buildings and homes across the country. While aspects of these schemes have been successful, the administrative problems which led to the axing of the Green Homes Grant voucher have dominated public and political discourse.
